Guide to participation in the <Textile Business Negotiation Salon>

The Premium Textile Japan (PTJ) was launched, targeting efforts to provide a business matching platform where top domestic and overseas buyers and suppliers converge, and now celebrates its11th anniversary. The fair has been widely acclaimed by buyers as an active, animated event, which has firmly established its presence. Most visitors comprise apparel designers and MDs who are decision-makers for fabric procurement, making the fair a real business-oriented negotiation salon. A productive and in-depth business related programme coordinated by the organiser also adds to the appeal of this key event. It is the only premium textile salon which provides authentic brands and products; striving to invite textile buyers of high-end brands, not only from domestic markets but also those from overseas, such as Asia centring on China.

 

The previous show of “Premium Textile Japan 2016 A/W” and “JFW JAPAN CREATION 2016” held Nov. 25-26 in 2016 with record time high level attracted major key persons of fashion industry in apparel/retailers sectors exceeding the numbers of wholesalers/traders/planners. And consecutive growth is projected at the next show for A/W.

Venue location

Tokyo International Forum is in the business heart of Tokyo, a stone’s throw from Tokyo station, adjacent to Ginza, home to virtually all top overseas and domestic brands and established as the most popular and attractive event hall in Japan in recent years.

Participant eligibility criteria

· Limited to companies selling original (self-company) textiles. No group participation admitted.
  · To have a clear indication of the price/quality (batch) / delivery time of the products and possess an organised sales system.
  · To handle original products and be capable of planning and presenting newly-developed products on a continuous basis.
  · To agree with the PTJ purpose/policy and comply with regulations established by JFW.

Fulfilling support for exhibitors alongside enriched business support

· We provide business-oriented programmes, which have been widely acclaimed by buyers and exhibitors to date, with feedback such as ‘Successful and intensive business dialogue was achieved.’
  · We organise briefings for exhibitors and constantly provide effective information, effectively guiding exhibitors from preparation to participation.
  · We also support textile development to promote products by providing JFW textile trends and optimising information.
  · We offer a stylish and highly efficient package booth; fully equipped for business negotiations.

Participation fees
  JPY594,000 [incl. tax] / booth　 ... 8m² (W4m x D2m = 8m²)

  The participation fee includes: (provisionally)
  · Booth space
  ·
    • Unified package booth (installation / dismantling)
Basic fittings (fascia board, carpet, four lights, one table, two chairs, four hanger rods)
  · Listing in the fair catalogue and on the website
  · Visitor invitation cards (100 pcs./company)

Application deadline : No later than May. 30, 2016 (Mon.)

Please note that if the number of applicants exceeds the available capacity, we may be unable to accept your application, due to the exhibition scale covering a total of approx.120 standard booths.

Post-application procedure: (provisional)
Submission of materials required for screening/jury

· Documents for jury (to be submitted in either English/Japanese)
(Previous records as exhibitor / new product development capability / sales capability/management system)
  · Company brochure/catalogue etc.
  · Products handled (a few fabric swatches to be submitted)

  · Priority references will not be based on previous participation records at this fair.

Post-application schedule: (provisional)
  - Applications accepted from: May. 10, 2016 (Tue.)
  - Final submission deadline: no later than May. 30, 2016 (Mon.)
  - Announcement of exhibitors: June. 27, 2016 (Mon.)
  - Despatch of Exhibitor Manual: End/July 2016
  - Briefing to exhibitors (in Tokyo), drawing of booth location: July. 26, 2016 (Tue.)
  - Deadline for payment of participation fees: July. 29, 2016 (Fri.)

Payment terms for participation fee

Invoice will be issued after confirmation of entry by screening (end-June).
Please make remittance 50% of the amount by July 10, 2016.

The rest of 50% to be paid by July 31.

Cancellation charge
  -

From the invoice issue date to July 10, 2016, 20% of the total participation fee.
  -

From July 11, through July 31 2016: 50% of the total participation fee.
  -

On/after August 1, 2016: 100% of the total participation fee.
